Welcoming Jina's as a Business Partner

Like Wellington Free Ambulance, Jina’s World of Fresh Produce has been an iconic part of the Wellington community for more than 90 years.

Jina’s is a family-run fresh produce business that is well known for its high-quality goods, outstanding service, and commitment to supporting local – whether it be by using local suppliers or through their support of local charity and community initiatives.

Ajay and Sonny Jina recently approached Wellington Free Ambulance about formalising their commitment to ensuring our services remain free of charge by becoming a regular business supporter as a much valued Support Crew (Business) partner. They have been quietly supporting a range of healthcare and education community initiatives for generations.

They have committed to supporting Wellington Free Ambulance and Lifeflight for the foreseeable future as they see both services as being truly there for all.

“Both Wellington Free and Lifeflight are there for anyone no matter what, and no one knows when you are going to need to call on them for help. So we want to do our bit to ensure anyone is able to be helped in any emergency situation” explained Ajay.

The regular donations will be used to fund the upkeep and equipment requirements of the ambulance fleet to ensure the preparedness of the paramedic crews to respond when required.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Jina family for their support, their generosity really does make a difference to our ability to continue to be here for anyone free of charge. It is so exciting to welcome Jina’s World of Fresh Produce into our Support Crew (Business Partner) programme," says  Claire Carruthers, Executive Director of Fundraising for Wellington Free.
