Nice one Wairarapa!

Nice one Wairarapa!

Thanks to everyone who came along to the Aratoi Wairarapa Museum of Art and History for a small ‘thank you’ event on Wednesday night.

It was a great pleasure to spend time talking with around 50 guests including Mayors, CE Ardri Isbister and others representing Masterton DHB, Police, local businesses and the community, as well as a number of our very generous supporters.  Wellington Free Ambulance Chief Executive, Mike Grant described the evening as “spending time with friends.”

“We feel very humbled to have the friendship and support of so many people.  The way services work together to care of the community, and the people who live here is quite unique, and something we are very proud to be a part of,” Mike Grant says.

There were two great announcements at the event – Tim McKay of Total Care Flooring presented us with a cheque for $10,000.  Tim and the team put aside $20 from every job which has quickly added up to a significant donation, and a great business partnership.

Wendy Morrison of Media Works announced plans for an ‘Old Skool Ball 2’ to be held on 3rd August 2019.  This follows the success of the first Old Skool Ball last year which raised over $11,000 towards the People’s Ambulance, and was terrific fun!

“We had such an amazing turn out last time, it was a no brainer to do it all again.  Wellington Free is such a critical service to the Wairarapa, and to be able to say it’s free is the beauty of it,” Wendy Morrison says.  Tickets to the Old Skool Ball 2 go on sale soon.
