St John’s Bar and Restaurant are once again hosting the fabulous First Responders Festival on the 25, 26 and 27 January!

This amazing event is a collaboration between St Johns Bar, Tuatara and Black Dog breweries. The breweries have created a unique beer – the First Responders Pacific Pale Ale – carefully crafted with Justin Lester’s help!

The three day festival kicks off on Friday afternoon with the first pour from the Karma Keg at 4.30pm. With an evening of live music with one of Welly’s most iconic bands lead by Lisa Tomlins it’s set to be a stellar night!

Join the sunshine, BBQ and beers on Saturday, 1- 3pm, for a ticketed event. You’ll get the chance to chat with the brewers from Tuatara and Black Dog and taste five different beers matched with BBQ meats! Now that’s a great afternoon!

On Saturday evening they’ll be showcasing Disney’s Moana at the famous Free Outdoor Cinema on the lagoon lawns. Pull up a bean bag and settle in for a good movie.

Sunday is fantastic family fun day with a bouncy castle, games on the lawn and a chance to meet our paramedics and take a peek inside one of our ambulances!

Look out for details of the stunning mural by Sean Duffell which will be auctioned during the festival.

The specially brewed beer – First Responders Pale Ale- is sold exclusively on Karma Keg with all proceeds going directly to Wellington Free Ambulance, along with a portion of all Beer & BBQ tickets and funds from the auction.

Get stuck in for a fun filled weekend!
